แม้บนเวทีจะไม่ได้มีการพูดถึง แต่ในหน้า Compare iPhone Models บนเว็บ Apple ได้บอกไว้ว่า iPhone 5 จะใช้ Nano-SIM เป็นซิมมาตรฐาน ซึ่งมีขนาดเล็กกว่า Micro-SIM ที่ใช้ใน iPhone 4/4S ถึง 40%

iPhone 5 จึงเป็นมือถือรุ่นแรกที่รองรับ Nano-SIM เป็นซิมมาตรฐาน ซึ่งทางผู้ให้บริการโทรศัพท์ทั้งหลายก็ได้เตรียม Nano-SIM ไว้รองรับแล้ว

เห็นแล้วนึกถึงไอเดียว่าถ้าอนาคต โทรศัพท์ทุกเครื่องซื้อมาเพียงแค่ ใส่หมายเลขประชาชน หมายเลขเบอร์โทร แล้วใส่รหัสที่ผู้ใช้แต่ละคนกำหนด ก็สามารถใช้โทรได้เลย

รอบนี้น่าจะสนุกนะ เพราะว่า Mini, Micro มันหนาบางเท่ากัน ต่างแค่พื้นที่รอบๆหน้าสัมผัส

แต่ว่า nano-SIM นอกจากพื้นที่รอบหน้าสัมผัสแล้วที่หดจนไม่เหลือแล้ว แถมมันบางลงอีก 12% นะ เรียกว่าตัดได้แต่อาจจะยัดไม่ลงก็เป็นได้นะ

ขนาด Chip เท่าเดิม แค่ตัดพลาสติกรอบๆออก
คนก็ อู้หู อ้าหา ว้าวๆๆๆ แล้ว

ที iPhone 4S ยังเล็กกว่า iPhone5 เลย :P

จริง ๆ คือว่าเมื่อขนาด Sim มันเล็กลงทำให้ยัดอุปกรณ์ลงไปได้มากขึ้น และออกแบบพึ้นที่ภายในได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นครับ
