Windows 8 มีหน้าจอเลือกเบราว์เซอร์ (ballot screen) แบบเดียวกับ Windows 7

ถ้ายังจำกันได้ Windows 7 รุ่นที่ขายในยุโรป มีหน้าจอเลือกเบราว์เซอร์เพื่อป้องกันการผูกขาด โดยเป็นข้อตกลงที่ไมโครซอฟท์ยอมร่วมมือกับ European Commission (EC) หลังโดนสอบสวนเรื่องการผูกขาดเบราว์เซอร์

เวลาผ่านมาสามปี ไมโครซอฟท์โดนร้องเรียนในประเด็นเดิมอีกครั้ง และทางออกก็เหมือนเดิมคือไมโครซอฟท์จะเพิ่มหน้าจอเลือกเบราว์เซอร์ (ballot screen) ให้กับ Windows 8 และ Windows RT

วิธีการรอบนี้ของไมโครซอฟท์จะทำผ่านแอพ Metro แทน โดย Windows 8/RT จะได้รับอัพเดตผ่าน Windows Update เพื่อติดตั้งแอพนี้ลงไป และขึ้นเป็นแอพแบบเต็มหน้าจอมาให้ผู้ใช้เลือกเบราว์เซอร์ที่ต้องการ (ภาพประกอบตามลิงก์)

ถ้า Windows Tablet โดนนี่ สงสัยว่าทำไม iPad ไม่โดนบ้าง

หรือเค้านับ OS แท็บเล็ตรวมกับเดสก์ท็อป แล้ว Windows ยังเป็นเจ้าตลาดอยู่?

ถ้าถึงวันที่ไอแผดโดนบ้าง อยากให้ห้ามผูกขาดลงไปถึง browser engine ด้วย รำคาญความเยอะของ webkit เหลือเกิน และอยากเห็น firefox for iOS บ้าง

ตามที่ ms บอกว่าใช้ ie ได้ตัวเดียว ด้วยความอยากลองว่าจริงไหมจัด chrome มา ก็ใช้ได้ดีอยู่น่ะครับ
ลื่นกว่า ie(10) เช่นเคย แต่ ff ผมยังไม่ได้ลองน่ะครับว่า ok หรือเปล่า

อันที่จริงผมว่าเหมือนมันเสียไปตั้งแต่ภาพลักษณ์ของไมโครซอฟท์เลยแหละ ผมเจอหลายคนมากที่ Anything but Microsoft

ประเด็นอยู่ที่ "ขยาด" นั่นแหละครับ ถ้าตัวอื่นที่ใช้ประจำไม่มีปัญหาก็คงไม่มีเหตุผลให้กลับไปมอง IE

แรกเริ่มใช้ IE เพราะเป็น default ช่วงนั้น 6-7 เป็นขาลงจริงๆ ดักดานอยู่กับ requirement เดิมๆ
พอย้ายมา Firefox เพื่อใช้ลูกเล่นมากมายอยู่หลายปี สุดท้ายก็กลายเป็นอืดดดดดด
แล้วก็ย้ายอีกทีมา Chrome เพราะ minimal ดี แต่หลังๆ ก็เริ่มเจอปัญหาเยอะขึ้นเรื่อยๆ เหมือนกัน
อาจจะได้เวลาวนกลับไป IE อีกครั้งก็ 10 พอดี เหมือนยกเครื่องใหม่

ใช้ ie10 อยู่ แต่ก็กลับมา chrome เหมือนเดิม
เพราะขยาดในเรื่อง security

ส่วนเรื่องมาตรฐาน html5 css3 ก็ยังตาม webkit ไม่ได้ในหลายๆอย่าง

อย่ายึดเอา webkit เป็นมาตรฐานจะดีกว่าครับ ของหลุดมาตรฐานพี่แกก็เยอะ แถมหลังๆนี่ทำเว็บยังต้องแก้แล้วแก้อีกให้แสดงถูกต้องบน Chrome

กลางสุดผมว่าน่าจะเป็นทาง Firefox นะ
