ถ้าเรียกตามตำแหน่ง Bill Hilf เป็น General Manager of Platform Strategy ของไมโครซอฟท์สำนักงานใหญ่ อันนี้ไม่มีอะไร แต่สิ่งที่ทำให้เขาน่าสนใจคือก่อนหน้านั้นเคยทำงานด้านลินุกซ์และโอเพนซอร์สให้กับ IBM มานานหลายปี ก่อนจะเข้ามาไมโครซอฟท์เพื่อ "สอนให้คนของไมโครซอฟท์รู้จักกับโอเพนซอร์ส" ปัจจุบันเขาเป็นหัวหน้า Open Source Software Lab ของไมโครซอฟท์ด้วย

Bill Hilf เคยมาเมืองไทยเมื่อปีที่แล้ว (ซึ่งผมก็ไปฟัง สนใจอ่านรายงานเก่าได้) วันที่ 11 มีนาคมนี้เขาจะมาอีกครั้ง และไมโครซอฟท์ประเทศไทยเชิญทุกคนที่สนใจไปคุยกับ Bill Hilf ใครอยากไปถามเรื่องสัญญากับ Novell หรือการสนับสนุน Mono นี่คงเป็นโอกาสทอง
