Nook Color ได้อัพเป็น Froyo แล้ว พร้อมแอพอีกมากมาย

Barnes & Noble เคยประกาศไว้เมื่อปลายปี ว่า Nook Color จะได้รับการอัพเกรดให้ทำงานได้ใกล้เคียงกับแท็บเล็ต Android ทั่วไป เวลาผ่านมาอีกหลายเดือน วันนี้มันมาแล้ว

เฟิร์มแวร์ตัวนี้ถูกนับเป็น Nook Color v1.2 ในส่วนของระบบปฏิบัติการ Nook Color จะได้ Android 2.2 Froyo และฟีเจอร์อย่าง Flash 10.1 ส่วนเรื่องแอพพลิเคชัน Nook Color จะได้

  • แอพสำหรับอีเมล ซึ่งรองรับ Yahoo!, Gmail, Hotmail และ AOL
  • Nook Kids แอพหนังสือเด็ก มีหนังสือกว่า 12,000 เรื่อง ในรุ่นใหม่หนังสือเด็กจะฝังเกมและฟีเจอร์อินเทอร์แอคทีฟเพิ่มเข้ามาได้ ตอนนี้มีหนังสือแบบนี้กว่า 350 เรื่อง
  • Nook Books Enhanced หนังสือแบบมัลติมีเดียที่ฝั่งวิดีโอลงไปได้ ตอนนี้มีกว่า 250 เรื่องแล้ว
  • Nook Friends เป็น social network ของผู้ใช้ Nook ที่สามารถแลกหนังสือกันอ่านได้ รีวิวหนังสือของกันและกันได้

นอกจากนี้ Barnes & Noble ยังเปิดร้านขายแอพชื่อ Nook Apps ซึ่งในเบื้องต้นมีแอพของ Android กว่า 150 ตัว เช่น Angry Birds, Pulse, Lonely Planet, Pandora ฯลฯ โดย Barnes & Noble ใช้การหักส่วนแบ่ง 30% เช่นเดียวกับร้านขายแอพอื่นๆ

การอัพเกรดเฟิร์มแวร์เป็น v1.2 ในครั้งนี้ ทำให้ Nook Color ถือเป็นแท็บเล็ต Android ขนาด 7" ที่น่าสนใจมากที่สุดตัวหนึ่งในตลาด เพราะมีราคาเพียง 249 ดอลลาร์ (7,500 บาท) เท่านั้น

root แล้วได้ market มาลงโปรแกรมเป็นได้เลยครับ

หรืออยาก flash rom อื่น ๆ ก็มีให้เลือกเยอะครับ ตั้งแต่ 2.2 ยัน 3.0 เลยครับ ที่ดัง ๆ ช่วงนี้ก็เป็น CyanogenMod 7 ครับผม

ชอบแอนดรอยอย่างนึงตรงที่ ยิ่งอัพเวอร์ชั่น เครื่องเก่าๆก็ยังพอจะลื่นขึ้นได้
ต่างกับ สิ่งที่อัพไม่ได้ กับสิ่งที่ให้อัพได้แต่ช้าลง
