We currently run MinorHotels.com, Anantara.com, AVANIhotels.com, OaksHotelsResorts.com, PERAQUUM.com, TivoliHotels.com, as well as the booking engine for 4 of those sites, and many other websites for campaigns and other activities. We are in the middle of redeveloping our 6 main websites.

* Ecommerce / Revenue team has 25 employees

* Within that, the Dev team has 6 members

Working environment

  • You'll be working directly with the other developers, as well as other departments with the organisation.
  • We love to do new things, and are looking for people who feel the same.
  • We work on a mix of platforms .Net custom, Sitecore, Wordpress, PHP custom. We are moving all our larger sites to Sitecore CMS
  • Our working hours are 8.30-17.30, but it's pretty flexible. Some of us start early morning (7.30), some of us start later and work late.
  • Our office, Berli Jucker House, is in walking distance of BTS Ekkamai.
  • We have a very relaxed working environment, our team values fun and a good work/life balance

Why this job is important

  • Customer experience is very important for our hotels, and we spend a lot of time and money making sure visitors to our websites get a good feel for our hotels. Great design creates that first impression.
  • We need great to design to make sure that visitors become guests, so the experience of booking hotel rooms is very important.
  • Our campaign micro-sites support multi-million dollar marketing activities, and give a chance to experiment with different techniques and approaches.

What will you be doing every day?

  • reviewing existing website for improvements to user experience
  • A/B testing design changes
  • doing user testing
  • designing and developing campaign and microsites
  • developing design concepts for existing websites
  • researching new developments in design and usability, and sharing with the rest of the team

Qualifications

We aren't too worried about qualifications, ability is most important.

  • Design skills -- using Photoshop, Sketch, etc to deliver designs to developers for implementation
  • Prototyping skills -- paper, HTML, InVision, Sketch, Balsamiq, whatever, but prototypes are an important way to prove concepts to the team
  • Front End skills -- not required, but if you understand HTML, CSS, JS, it's a bonus
  • Understanding of performance, SEO, also useful
  • Mac or PC -- you choose
  • English -- our company language, and we want people who are happy to explain and argue in English!
